As a Construction Contract Specialist, you will review, revise and assist with negotiation of contracts with customers of our manufacturing, permanent installation and leasing businesses. Conduct preliminary contract reviews and provide mark-ups and recommendations regarding important legal and risk management issues for negotiation.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

 

  • Ability to analyze contractual risk, negotiate contracts, and ensure contractual compliance
  • Issue and maintain contracts and subcontracts
  • Develop specialized contracts and amendments to accommodate unique contractual relationships
  • Responsible for day-to-day contract logistics
  • Track and communicate status of contracts both internally and externally with clients
  • Streamline contract approval process
  • Work closely with business leaders, purchasing, finance and outside legal counsel

Experience/ Qualifications of the Construction Contract Specialist

 

  • Well versed in construction contracts, risk management, federal and state regulations, contract law and safety
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience with directly related construction agreements
  • Strong negotiation and mediation skills.
  • Outstanding attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • General understanding of accounting principles and finance.
